Meet Iolanda Johnson

iolanda johnson

Iolanda began life growing up in a household of domestic violence.  Today she is a successful career woman, wife and mother of three.  The journey in between is a tale of depression, co-dependency, suicidal thoughts, a stay in a mental hospital, abortion, four miscarriages, and Hurricane Katrina survival.

As a result of Iolanda’s personal experience with survival on the battlefield of life, she founded Personal Empowerment Enterprises, LLC and became a professional speaker, author, and mentor in order to show others how to survive their own battles in life and is considered to be “America’s Personal Survival Expert”.

Iolanda was born in Shreveport, LA but she spent her school age years in Mississippi. She received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Dillard University and an M.B.A degree from the University of Phoenix.

She also attended the Greater New Orleans Jurisdiction School of Ministry in the Church of God in Christ and is a licensed Evangelist Missionary. This member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. currently resides in Albuquerque, NM with her husband Edward and their three children. She recently published her personal memoir entitled, "Somebody Called Me Hannah: An Overcomer's Story" where she shares the effects of growing up in a household of domestic violence.
